01 June 2021 | Join the launch of GI-ESCR and partners’ platform on human rights and business in Chile!

This Tuesday 01 June 2021, as a founder and member of the Chilean Civil Society Platform on Human Rights and Business, GI-ESCR will participate in its launch. This platform aims to provide a space of coordination for human rights, labour and environmental civil society organisations to more effectively participate in the drafting process of the New Constitution in Chile and consequently influence the adoption of instruments to regulate, promote and facilitate full respect for human, indigenous, labour and environmental rights by economic, public and private actors.

The launch of the Platform will be attended by Jan Jarab, representative in South America of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

A panel discussion will follow with the participation of:

  • José Aylwin, Coordinator of the Globalisation and Human Rights Programme of Observatorio Ciudadano.

  • Roberto Morales, Coordinator of the Human Rights Programme of the Fundación Instituto de Estudios Laborales.

  • Judith Schönsteiner, Academic and researcher at the Human Rights Centre of the Diego Portales University.
