Setting a Roadmap for a Feminist Green Transformation: Using Economic, Social, Cultural and Environmental Rights as Guiding Tools for a Gender-Just Transition

A gender-just transition can be understood as a set of collective efforts to shift societies in favour of a sustainable and just economy that prioritises fulfilment of human rights and achievement of gender equality over time.

This briefing paper starts to draw a roadmap towards such a transition. It explores how States and other stakeholders might use and mobilise the human rights framework, specifically economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights (ESCE rights), to address intersecting inequalities and environmental global crises, and thereby create a thriving future for all.
