The session aims at opening a discussion surrounding the limits of commercial healthcare delivery and on the urgent need to strengthen public healthcare systems to realise universal access to healthcare.

Rossella De Falco, programme officer on the right to health, will discuss in this context the case study of Italy, drawing from GI-ESCR’s report on the limits of commercial healthcare delivery in the Northern region of Lombardy during COVID-19.
