Publication of the Yearbook on the Jurisprudence of UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies

The NGO Network on UN Treaty Bodies (TB-Net), of which GI-ESCR is a member, has recently released the 2019 edition of the annual yearbook on the jurisprudence of the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies! The Yearbook provides a useful summary of important cases from across the Human Rights Treaty Bodies, identifies each treaty body’s central issues of concern, and explores common themes across the system.

The Centre for Civil and Political Rights coordinated the project and GI-ESCR contributed information on the jurisprudence of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, including its merits decisions in S. C. and G. P. v Italy and López Albán et al. v Spain, and admissibility decisions in S.S.R. v. Spain, Pankka and Perez v. Spain and MLB v. Luxembourg.

The Yearbook may be accessed below.

Further information on GI-ESCRs work in collaboration with TB-Net may be accessed here. For up to date summaries of all of the decisions of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights under the Optional Protocol to the ICESCR, see our page on the Jurisprudence Of The Committee On Economic, Social And Cultural Rights.
