New Report on Private Actors in Health Services: Towards a human rights impact assessment framework

In a new report released today, GI-ESCR in collaboration with the University of Essex Human Rights Centre Clinic and the Initiative for Economic and Social Rights (ISER), consolidated the human rights framework applicable to private actors in health systems.

Private Actors in Health Services: Towards a human rights impact assessment framework unpacks States’ human rights obligations in the context of the increasing privatisation of healthcare, particularly health financing and provision. It presents a preliminary human rights impact assessment framework for evaluating the consequences of private actor activity on the right to health.
