GI-ESCR submits statement to the ECOSOC High-level Segment

In light of the upcoming 2022 ECOSOC High-level Segment, GI-ESCR submitted a second written statement, in lieu of an oral statement, as this year, all general statements of NGOs for the Open Debate will be collected through the submission of written statements.

In the statement, we highlight the threat of privatization of public services to the future and call on states to reverse the privatisation and allocate adequate financial and technical resources to public services. Moreover, we recommend States to use the Manifesto for Public Services to provide, reform, and create public services in line with international human rights law and standards.
