Our Executive Director and GI-ESCR representative in Chile contributed to an essay on social contract

To celebrate International Human Rights Day Christian Aid launched a compendium of essays on feminist, anti-racist social contracts, which we contributed to.

In 2021 UNRISD called for a ‘new eco-social contract’ to deliver on Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, incorporating human rights for all, transformations in economies and societies, a contract with nature, gender justice and many other critical elements.

To support these conversations, Chrstian Aid commissioned 12 experts and activists, our ED Magdalena Sepúlveda Carmona and Valentina Contreras among them, to unpack, what these feminist anti-racist eco-social contracts would look like.
