Join our event on “Constitutions, economic alternatives, and Human Rights: Towards more equal social contracts” | Fiscal Justice and Human Rights Week

This Tuesday 18 May 2021, our Executive Director Magdalena Sepúlveda will participate in the event “Constitutions, economic alternatives, and Human Rights: Towards more equal social contracts”, organised by GI-ESCR and its partners CESR and the Center for International and Comparative Law (UV) and Ciudadanía Inteligente. The event will address the constitutional process in Chile in the area of fiscal policy. It is part of the Fiscal Justice and Human Rights Week, a 5-day online event to understand and promote human rights in fiscal policy.

This specific event will address some of the economic alternatives that Constitutions of the region have included, and their relevance for the human rights agendas. Particularly, we'll discuss the Principles' potential to inform constitutional reforms, such as the current Chilean constitutional process.

The event is organised by GI-ESCR, the Center for Economic and Social Rights (CESR), the
Center for International and Comparative Law (UV) and Ciudadanía Inteligente.
