This week in New York the Chairs of each of the UN human rights treaty bodies will hold their annual meeting. TB-Net (an informal network of NGOs working closely with the human rights treaty bodies), of which GI-ESCR is a member, will observe the meetings and participate in the meeting with NGOs.

TB-Net will raise with the Chairs its ideas regarding: the 2020 treaty body strengthening process; the budgetary crisis facing the treaty bodies; implementation of the guidelines against intimidation and reprisals; improvements to the nomination and election of treaty body members.
