Join us 17 October for a special event with the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education, Dr. Boly Barry to learn about the findings of her new report, and the role of the #AbidjanPrinciples in guiding governments in their obligations to fulfill the right to quality public #education for all.

CSO experts, Madiana Samba, Founder and Executive Director for Community Action to Restore Lives (CARL) in Sierra Leone, and  Zakaria Sulemana, Inequality Programme and Campaigns Manager for Oxfam in Ghana, will join the discussion to look at commercial education approaches recently proposed in their countries, debate the merits of these approaches, and discuss alternatives in light of the Abidjan Principles. Kate Lapham, Deputy Director, Education Support Programme at the Open Society Foundations will moderate the discussion.
